Easy Keto Mug Cake Recipes

I can whip these up in just a few minutes and have a guilt-free sweet treat! And I can make several varieties to satisfy any preferences.

I first make a base mix in which I can get creative and make different flavors. The base mix recipe is as follows:


1 egg

1/4 cup Swerve sweetener (erythritol)

1/2 cup almond flour

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 tsp baking powder

You can mix or blend these ingredients I just use a whisk.

Now for the flavors! I have come up with a few that I love.

Just add these to the mixture to taste, or you can add them to each separate cup for individual flavored cakes.

Caramel pecan (my personal favorite):

Jordan's Skinny Syrup in caramel (0 calories and sugar)

pecan pieces

(You may need more almond flour and less erythritol to compensate for the syrup)

Mint chocolate:

cocoa powder to taste

mint or peppermint extract

Sugar cookie:

almond extract


Lemon poppyseed:

lemon extract and/or lemon juice



cinnamon Swerve sweetener

(sprinkle both on the top before putting in the microwave as well)

These are something you can get creative with and come up with some of your own. Comment below if you come up with any different ones, because I'm always up for trying new sweets!

Now just put some of your mixture in a mug and pop it in the microwave for one minute! The recipe above should make about 2-3 mug cakes.

But wait! What if you have lots of friends and family who want mug cakes and you need more?? I have also baked this same recipe in a muffin tin at 350⁰ for about 15 minutes, and you will get similar mini cakes. Of course, you will have to double, triple, or quadruple the recipe This also allows you to try different flavors and get creative with it.

Now if you're like me and you love icing, I normally just use softened cream cheese (in the microwave) and add Swerve confectioner's sweetener and vanilla extract until I have it sweet enough for my taste.

Cream cheese icing is my favorite, but you can also mix Swerve confectioner's sweetener with vanilla extract and heavy whipping cream until you have the desired consistency.
